DogSymptoms is built with privacy as the #1 priority. We believe your dog's health information belongs to you and should never be shared without your explicit consent.

What Data We Collect

None. DogSymptoms does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers.

Where Your Data is Stored

All symptom logs, photos, and dog information are stored locally on your device using IndexedDB (a browser database). Your data never leaves your device.

Important: Because data is stored locally:

• Clearing browser data will delete your records
• Uninstalling the app will delete your records
• Data is not synced across devices
• Use the "Export Data" feature to create backups

Photos

When you add photos to symptom logs, they are stored as base64-encoded data in your browser's local database. Photos are never uploaded to any server or transmitted over the internet.

Third-Party Services

DogSymptoms does not use:

• Analytics or tracking
• Advertising networks
• Cloud storage providers
• Third-party APIs

The app works 100% offline and does not require an internet connection.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to anyone. Ever.

You can export your data as JSON or PDF for sharing with your veterinarian, but this is entirely under your control.

Data Security

Your data is protected by your device's security mechanisms. We recommend:

• Using a secure device PIN/password
• Keeping your device updated
• Regular data exports as backups
